Following in the footsteps of the Barenaked Ladies, Keane, The Fratellis, Killola and L.A. Tight the White Stripes have announced a limited release of their new Icky Thump Album on a USB jumpdrive. The drives are styled to look like little versions of Jack and Meg in the Mariachi costumes they wear on the CD cover. The crazy thing is the price $99.00!! Ridiculously overpriced.

Island Records has announced that they will be releasing Bob Marley's seminal 1977 album, Exodus on a USB flash drive. The release will include the original 10 album tracks as well as three videos of live performances from London's Rainbow Theater and Marley wallpaper for your computer. Read the full story here.
I applaud the forward thinking people at Island for leaving the 20th century behind!! If only the rest of the record industry could be so brave, they might actually make some money outside of suing fans.
