Next Stop: Tralfamadore

In all of the news reports of the death of Kurt Vonnegut I have not seen his best three novels mentioned: Bluebeard, Galapagos and Breakfast of Champions.

While his writing was vastly different than the usual pantheon of mid 20th century American authors (Hemingway, Miller, Fitzgerald etc.) Vonnegut still conjured the lost, lonely experience of a populace thrust into two World Wars and the Great Depression followed by the giddy post war years.
